Pelikan Edelstein Ink Bottle – Mandarin

Pelikan Edelstein Ink Bottle – Mandarin brings a vivid, sunlit orange to the brand’s premium ink line. Part of Pelikan’s gemstone-inspired Edelstein collection, Mandarin offers a lively hue that remains tasteful on the page, adding warmth and visibility without overwhelming your writing. The refined formulation is engineered for everyday reliability and clean maintenance, making it a versatile choice for notes, journals, and correspondence.

Craftsmanship & Design

Named for the brilliance of gem tones, the Edelstein series is presented in a sculptural glass bottle that feels substantial on the desk and is designed for easy filling. The wide opening and stable footprint support a smooth inking routine, while the bottle showcases the ink’s radiant color with clarity.

The Mandarin shade leans toward a balanced, modern orange: bright enough to stand out, nuanced enough for annotations and creative work. On cream or white paper it reads crisp and cheerful, bringing energy to marginalia, planners, and highlighted headings.

Writing Experience

Edelstein inks are appreciated for polished flow and dependable behavior across a wide range of fountain pens. Mandarin offers a smooth, lubricated feel that supports clean line formation and consistent starts, even after brief pauses.

Depending on nib and paper, writers can expect attractive shading, especially with medium to broad nibs, while fine nibs yield a tidy, legible line ideal for structured notes. The dye-based formula is straightforward to rinse and maintain, encouraging regular use across daily writing routines.
