Monteverde Ink Bottle – Coal Noir

Monteverde Ink Bottle – Coal Noir delivers a refined charcoal black that keeps handwriting crisp and readable across notebooks, planners, and work documents. The tone sits confidently between deep graphite and near-black, giving text a clean, modern look without unwanted color casts.

Color & Performance

Coal Noir is a versatile charcoal that maintains strong contrast on both white and cream papers. It pairs well with fine and broad nibs alike, offering a darker presence in wetter pens and a cool, understated gray character in finer points. Formulated with Monteverdes ITF (Ink Treatment Formula), it promotes consistent flow, adds lubrication to the feed and nib, and helps resist clogging while extending cap-off time.

Writing Experience

Expect smooth, reliable starts and tidy lines suited to everyday notes, journaling, and correspondence. The balanced saturation supports clear letterforms without overwhelming the page, while the well-behaved formula keeps maintenance simple. As with any fountain pen ink, drying time will vary by paper, but Coal Noir is designed for dependable daily use.
